"Working in multiple school districts over the past 7 years has taught me about the needs of youth today. In addition to academics, youth need a healthy mixture of self exploration and play. How could Ben Franklin study electricity without enjoying flying a kite? Travel is imperative for youth. It opens up a door in the mind that no other experience can. My life's mission is to make a positive impact on every child that crosses my path." “To Travel is to Live” – Hans Christian Andersen |

"I view Hope as the enemy of desperation; one drop can alter a persons life forever. Often times a child's hope can be smothered by lack of exposure. Without knowledge of what the world has to offer, how can one aspire for more? Urban life can be disheartening for lower and middle class children. Crime, poverty, violence, schools with limited resources, and the lack of youth programs can all have a negative effect on youth. I've made it my life's mission to offer them an alternative to despair. To share the world with them, is to share my hope with them. Travel is key to altering their perspectives. I began working with children 15 years ago. From parenting, to teaching, to administration; I've been skilled with the "know how" to make a difference, and that's exactly what I plan to do. The easiest way to find a solution, is being one that has endured the problem. My life experiences provided me with the qualifications I need to be active in solving the issues youth face. "Working with children has been a wonderful, enriching, and challenging experience. I have had the opportunity to enrich their lives while improving my own self worth. Children are especially open to new ideas, thoughts and information; just seeing the gleam in their eyes makes it all worthwhile. I love children, and helping them accomplish their dreams is my passion." |

"The youth population today, brings a different philosophy regarding the methodology essential for learning. They want their experience to be interactive, applicable, exciting, and with results they can use daily. Working with youth is no longer one-way communication, but a vehicle to encourage participative sharing." |
